If you don't mind me asking, howd you go about painting it? Obviously remove it from the frame and tape of a few spots right? But how did you get it primed and ready? This is something I really need to do my engine looks like shit haha

Yep I removed it from the frame. I took engine degreaser, aerosoll engine degreaser, carb cleaner, and kerosene to clean it off then after I was done taping I used enamel reducer to clean off the finger prints. As far as taping goes I taped off the carb inlets after I removed the carb boots. Painted the oil gauge and sending unit. The ground bolt and the starter ground. And then the radiator holes and where the chain would enter the cover. As fas as the spark plugs go I just put some old ones in and didn't tape them off. I also covered the valve cover bolts because I have plans for them later. I have pics to upload but I don't have them on the iPod in which I am typing this message. I'll add a link to a thread where Nate sent me a pic of his paint job. But I am at work an it might not get done right away.

So here is the link. Nate responds with pics in te second post. He tapes off the bolts which I didn't do. I like a challenge when I go to take the Allen bolts out.
