Were do I sign up for one ?thatkid wrote: If someone wants to ship me a hugger, I can probably make a mold off it and produce a few in fiberglass.
This would be more of a service to those with FZR's that want a hugger.
My hugger is made with about 4-5 layers of mat and resin.
I laid in washers where the holes will be for mounting to avoid cracking.
It's all about the size of the company doing things.
Since I care about my parts I do them right and my glass will hold up because I put a little extra time in to do it right.
Airtech slabs it on a machine and goes to town with it.
Mass produced parts rarely ever equal quality.![]()

Im going to find one soon to make a mold and start doing some up. I have the stuff to make molds and then I was going to some type of ABS to form them from. Right now Im trying to get all the stuff together. I see there is a need for them so I will be selling them cheap.

I'd buy a hugger without the chain guard. If you do produce them, got any particular price in mind?

Re: Were to find a Hugger ?
I'd have to get someone to send me an airtech hugger first before I could see what the labor would be. My guess would be around 100 which is the going rate for most huggers. Making them by hand is the killer part.the_finch wrote:I'd buy a hugger without the chain guard. If you do produce them, got any particular price in mind?

Re: Were to find a Hugger ?
I've got an Airtech hugger I just recently painted up and plan of putting on my bike, but for the greater good of the membership I'd be willing to hold off. Kid, maybe the next time you come down to the Greater Milwaukee area I could drop it off with you to avoid shipping.
Re: Were to find a Hugger ?
As a matter of fact I will be up there this saturday visiting Zero before our trip up to Elkhart for the AMA races. If that works for you I'm down for giving these things a go.Deputy1042 wrote:I've got an Airtech hugger I just recently painted up and plan of putting on my bike, but for the greater good of the membership I'd be willing to hold off. That'd work...PM me the time you plan on arriving at Zero's & his address so I can drop it off there with you. That's the 7th, right?

Deputy, man I forgot to get back to you. I apologize on that. Turns out Zero had one but never put it on his bike so I snagged his. Keep yours all nicey nice and slap it on your ride. I'll make the mold from his.
Lasse, there is hope. It may take me awhile to get the mold made but I will get it done. Work is just kinda mad right now. If you find one before I get mine done, awesome. If not, I'll be able to sell you one.

Re: Were to find a Hugger ?
The ones without the chain guard look better and would be easier to mold.
