If the bike has not been run for a long time the fibres stick to steels.rocking bike back and forward to brake free then ride the clutch for a while in 2nd.
If this fails need manually spreed(remove cover etc(new gasket maybe required))
sometimes wrong oil type.eg not motorcycle oil.

Old thread FTW. I just did an oil change and my clutch doesn't want to shift much. Sometimes it works, but if I play with it for too long, it stays in one gear (only tried this in first) and the only way to get it out is to ride it out a few feet. I am using 20-50 valvoline motorcycle oil with the proper filter. Any suggestions? :headscratch:
