Radiatir hose
I have a 1992 FZR 600 and today I was doing it for maybe 10 minutes when the hose to the radiator exploded off. Is there a reason why it was so pressurized? Any help on how to fix this would be appreciated. Also does the breather hose connect somewhere else, because mine just sticks outside

Re: Radiatir hose
There is an increase in coolant pressure as it heats up.
The hoses also soften and if the hose clamp was loose then that may be the cause.
It may be that the head gasket has failed and combustion gasses are pressurising the coolant but we will get to that in another episode! Does the coolant bubble if you view the inside of the rad after removing the cap when the engine is hot ?
Don't forget to add an antifreeze or similar to the coolant; not just plain water. It contains an additive that prevents engine corrosion.
Sounds like that bike wants a good inspection by a competent mechanic before you get stranded in bandit territory with another breakdown .
Which breather hose do you refer to; the coolant overflow hose or the engine crankcase breather?
The coolant overflow should go to the expansion tank/reservoir situated under the r/h seat panel.
Lift the seat ;you see the top up filler cap.
The crankcase breather goes to the airbox.
I have a feeling you will reply that the bike has neither airbox or expansion tank and has been streetfightered.

No street fighter here, it's the crankcase breather hose and upon further inspection the clamp to the hose was loose. I'm flushing the system regardless.
