Newer start button assembly

So in the process of ripping my hair out to find my electrical issue, I pulled the start button out and snapped off the pivot point. Is it possible to put a newer start button assembly on say from a yzf or newer r6 instead of trying to find a used one online that may have the same "flick the button for headlights" problem?

I'm sure any similar switch would work.
