Has anyone found a match... or close match for the white on a '96 600? I've got a solo seat cowl I need to do.

Re: Paint
My suggestion would be to take a side cover to a autobody/paint supplier and have them shoot it with a colorometer and they can match it with the formula. Then just have them make the amount you need like a half pint. Most shops can do it in mins...even Home Depot and Lowes can match any color but they just don't make the right type of paint.
There is a bunch of companies that will match and make any color in diff. aerosol and liquid quantities as small as 1/2 oz and up.
One is: http://www.customaerosolproducts.com/
There are 5-6 more you can find online. I have a colorometer that I use for my business and can match any color on any substrate. Metal, plastic, wood, fiber etc... I matched a pair of Hooter's orange shorts the waitress's wear to make a 500 gal batch of paint for their building roofing. I buy some of these aerosol products sometimes for touch up work for metal roofing but in bulk cases. It's good stuff and is reasonably priced for small jobs imo.
Hope this info can help you or anyone else. I did my solo rear seat cover in black also.

Re: Paint
If it's the same silky white as the early FZRs see my post here: http://www.fzronline.com/forum/viewtopi ... 42&t=10661
If you're just doing the seat cowl going to complete edges/lines this way may work.
The silky pearl coat needs to go on very very light holding the rattle can way back to just give a slight dusting. I put too much on my mirrors and they look a bit gold like the white pearl on a Fiat 500.
I think I used regular old gloss merc white van paint as the base.
Hope that helps.
