Perfect fork set up

My 3HE forks are bottoming out like many owners on the forum - going to overhaul the front end & was wondering if anyone has any views on new springs & oil weight;

I've seen Hagon progressive springs for £80 (wemoto), and Hyperpro for £116.85 including oil (ebay). I weigh about 85kg, and I imagine both would make a big difference, but can anyone convince me the Hyperpro ones are worth the extra + £30 ?!! Any advice on oil weight appreciated too.....

thanks mate I will NOT be over this summer yer on yer own for the carb clean & tube swap except for a very short stop as the outlaws are coming here and I promised my brother Pete to pay him a visit in Grenada.

I am quite interested in rebuilding my stock shocks instead of doing a front end swap. Sounds like this is a fairly straightforward operation really. Would you happen to have aprt numbers or know of someone in the states that has everything i need.

Hi,
in the states there is Racetech <SP> who supply springs & I believe emulators (PD Valves).

How ever the PD valves I bought were considerably cheaper BUT you being in the US they may sell to you where as they were being distinctly anal over shipping / paying etc.

My stuff, i bought the springs custom made to my spec for a1/3 of the cost and the Pd valves came from Australia with no payment hassle silly shipping charges and arrived in 7 days with stickers and a full set of instructions with telephone support if need be . I called the guy just to say thanks and for doing a first class job

Keep your eyes out on ebay and other places for racetech emulators listed for the SV 650. They seem to come up quite more commonly than FZR pieces...and are the same unit number from Racetech.

That said..yep, proper spring rate non-progressive springs and emulators makes a world of difference. I think I ended up with that set up, 15wt fork oil 100mm from the top and like it a bunch.
