tyre change

Post by rabbit57 »

Hi, I need to change the rear tyre on my 1990 fzr 600 as the mot girl was concerned about the age of the one fitted and said it seemed hard but legal. It is a150/70 18 Michelin M59 but it is on a 3.5 rim which worries me a bit. Will a 140/70 be o.k or should I go oem size 130 as I can get either avons at the same price. Front is stock size bt45 but bridgestones are expensive and bike is not in regular daily use.

130 would be best but a 140 will be perfectly fine. 150 is better suited for the 4" rim.

Thanks for reply, I will probably go with the 130 as they are easy to get over here.
