Im in a debate... The ol switch the fart can out becuase it to heavy, plus sounds so weak. Its like a rat trying to squuez out a fart. I have a couple options for my budget (used) since I cant afford the $200+ slip ons. Im looking for proformence and loss of weight, here are my options, if im allowed to use 99-02 slip on from a yzf- r6, look the same to me.
GYT-R slip on (This is what im leaning on since im a yamaha fanatic! Seen it has gains through mid and upper, torq through out all ranges and -4.5lb from stock, plus only costing me 80 bucks think its for a 02 yamaha yzf6005 model which i belive is a fit)
delkevic slip on (unknow)
d & d slip on (unknown)
vance & hines slip on (unkown)
please post why you like it (sound) and numbers as far as wieght and maybe hp gains? I have a Uni air filter, stock jets, if this helps any. thanks guys!
also should I get a factory racing jet kit or go with dynojet?

A very popular and great sounding exhaust is the V&H Supersport full exhaust. They're tough, black and fairly inexpensive. The hard part is finding them in good shape.
I used a DynoJet kit and it worked great. A lot of people have success with Factory Pro as well. I ran a stock air box, K&N filter...

I have a d&d that's a notably quicker either through less weight or lack of restriction. As Darrin points out it's finding them in good shape (mine isn't) but if you're willing to put in the time you can make them look good as new or close to it.

I have a D&D in great shape that I'm considering selling. It sound great. But, I just don't like how long it is. I was gonna cut it down. But it's such a sweet sounding can that I'd rather let someone else enjoy it and find something else. But, then I'd have to find something else and my bike would be that much farther from being completed...

I ended up purchasing a gytr slip on for 85 bucks in really good condition. how ever it was to my understanding it would fit. it was for a 99-02 yfr-r6, however the outlet to my headers and the inlet to the muffler were exactly the same diameter.. any sugesstions i heard the yzr-r6 headers were a direct bolt on?

The YZF600 might be direct bolt-up; the R6 definitely needs modification as the center cyl spacing is different - the cam drive is off to the side, vs up the middle as it is on the FZR. ThatKid does this modification, and may very well have one ready to box up and send your way.

yes i spoke with him the other day, but as i saved money to buy from him my bike stop running. i was heading down hill in 3 gear and went to shift to forth and it reved up and didnt catch, so i shifted back to third and same thing and so forth. i stop off the side of the road and started the bike engine sounded fine, went to put it in first and all it did was rev up and no power to the wheel. i thought i had burnt my clutch so i pulled the plated out they look fine to me, i can run my finger across the plated and fill the indentions between the lil squares. so i dont know what wrong, i use my bike pretty much every day.. what could it be... i looked at the clutch as i pulled in the clutch and it would move in and out. so im kinda of stuck , it wont catch any gears, and i can push the bike as its in gear and i hear a like scratching sound anyone have suggestions let me know

Kaspen;I think your clutch problems are answered in another post,as for the can to header outlet quandry;
Any good exhaust shop will have an adjustable expander that fits into can inlet;something like this;

Get them to expand the inlet by a few mm thus allowing can to slip over pipe
There is usually a link pipe between headers and can,is yours intergral with the can.?

yeah i posted the clutch problem somehwere else. and as far as the my exhuast system is headers then it connects to the can, i just hae to expand the slip on but i think i will wait to do the r6 headers the slip on is a direct fit for those headers
