Hello all, just another quick question. The rear wheel on my bike is an 18'' alloy with 120/80-18 tyre on it. But it is in need of being replaced. Just wondering if this is the correct tyre for the bike as it looks a little small and the FZR 600R that my friend has, has a wider tyre running on a 17'' alloy. Im what other people have on theirs and what benefits there are for thinner tyres vs's wider.
Many Thanks
Rob

Re: 1989 Rear Tyre
I think it should be a 140/60 VR18. Sounds like someone stuck a front tyre on the rear........

not the right speed rating but an awesome tyre upto 130mph

Just get the right speed rated tyre and you can't go wrong

Re: 1989 Rear Tyre
The 89 models came with a 130 rear, but you should be able to get a 140 on there.

I hope so. as soon as I put the engine back in I'll get some new rubber. out of curiosity, since the rear type was wrong, may I ask what size the front is meant to be? Rob
