Collect enough data to give a jet comparison/break down? I ask as it will give the next person a little more of an inclination of what to expect AFTER putting the motor back together and in the frame. At least someone found a better way to do this. Good things all around.

660cc...13.2:1.....ported head..K&N drop in...kerker 4-2-1, pump 89

Using FP jet kit.

Have:

115 mains

35 pilots

FP needles, currently at highest setting (lowest slot)

Have very quick transitional flat spot from steady state cruise to accel..hiccups(lean flame out).....then takes off...

Will be raising fuel level, may necessitate needle drop after fuel level raised.

Otherwise, additional 70-80 miles ride in..still loving it. Gawd, some extra torque really really makes a difference.

What about going to bigger mains? That could give you wiggle room with the needles. Just a thought though.

Sweet! I wanna see tons of pics with a write up on how to do it on the wiki XD

I had the yzf motor and everything ready for the 660 before my mess.

I'll be happy to see someone else doing it

I just finished installing mine today and actually started it up without drama. I'm looking forward to actually getting it rideable now.

Nah, there isn't a bike dyno within 100 miles of me, besides the HD dealership which won't even book in a Jap bike..much less do a couple pulls then let me swap jetting in the parking lot.

There's a guy who trailers one around to the bike 'shows' around here. Those are usually pretty cheesy roller/inertial dynos and are probably fairly lax on calibration, etc.

But, he's kinda my only option. The next time that I KNOW he will be somewhere, I will get a few runs in.

Im not as much worried about the rods holding, its more the old main bearing/Worn crank journals I would be worried about...All that time and thought, sounds great, but if you dont build the bottom, how do you expect the top to stay up?..........but anyways good luck

Well, if I had seen ANY wear in any of the shells, or on any journals, I would have gone deeper, believe me.

What I saw/felt was not enough to warrant plastigauge, much less crank machining and/or shell replacement.

They guys here may remember my oil change rant from a couple years ago.....I'm a two to three thousand mile guy..plenty of oil, kept fresh, running through clean filters and the only time the rod and crank bearings will see ANY wear is on startup
