Unfortunately yes, but its not too damaged, may just need to send it off to them again, should cost no more than 30 quid...

Or i could just spray it as the wheel and chain will cover it all.

I'll have a look Saturday when we get the carbs sorted. You might have to get the Divvy ready for Monday.

Take the following measurements:
battery voltage with vrr disconnected and ignition off
battery voltage with vrr disconnected and ignition on (engine off)
battery voltage with vrr connected and ignition off
battery voltage with vrr connected and ignition on (engine off)

My feeling is that one of these is not what it's supposed to be. (they should all be within 12-14v)
I tested all of those and they all came back with 12.5 - 12.6 volts. This now says to me i've been sent a duff regulator?

If you have been sent a bad one you & your Dad could come down to the Ace on Sunday & pick up a spare from me .let me know and i will dig it out.

I'll use that chart tomorrow geo, although the battery voltage wouldn't rise with the vrr unplugged surely? and i cant test it with the current one as the bike doesn't run with it plugged in??? Were not there Sunday, we shall be there Monday though for the meet, We could always make a detour if you wont be there yourself??? I think im needing a different one so if you could dig it out if you'd be at the ace monday ill have it off you

gizz,
The voltage will rise IF the Vrr is leaking because of internal damage or corrosion.
Monday is fine I will send you a PM with contact details any idea about what time at the Ace?

Thanks for the VRR for my son. We should be at the Ace around 9ish.
Hopefully we'll finally get to meet.
