How to mount 3he fairings

Post by Rncv »

Hi guys,

Im new to the forum, i have a 91' 3he and have finally got it on the road but im missing my two side fairings as i didn't have any brackets.

My questions to you are;

Where do the brackets mount on the frame and fairings? :headscratch:

Any pictures would be lifesaving

All the best,
Rob.

You might try looking at this first. http://www.flatoutmotorcycles.com/fiche ... 1&fveh=427 But in essence there are six (6) brackets for the lower fairings. One that attached to where the radiator mounts to the framce, one that attached to the lower engine cradle forward and one aft by the side stand area on each side. Three per side for a total of six brackets.

The way I had mine was just attached to the above mounting point, the choke mounting point on the other side of the bike, and then fiiiirrrrmmly secured to the upper fairing with stronger than necessary screws/bolts, and then drilled out several .5"x2" pieces of metal to hold the bottoms of the fairings together. Worked for me for 3k miles b4 i sold that and got another fzr with brackets
There are no small days.
