Minor Carb leak

Post by vmaxmike »

I cleaned the carbs recently and now some very slight seepage of fuel comes out of #3 float bowl. (like a drop an hour). I know replacing gaskets is the proper way to go but would using a little fuel resistant gasket sealer be an acceptable alternative? Thanks

Sounds like the float bowl o-ring. You can take it out and soak it in armor all overnight. Might bring some life back to it.

The problem with most gasket sealers is that they are NOT fuel resistance and will break down.
