not running properly

i brought a 1992 fzr 600 in bits 1 complete engine and another in bits. rebuilt 1 engine using parts from both engines. had it running with the petrol tank off using a jerry can with the fuel pipe poked in side sounded fine but now after putting the tank on has developed a missfire and spits flames from the exhaust. any ideas would be well apprecated. it also struggles to tick over.

Done a synch on the carbs? Sounds mad rich from what you describe

I havent synced the carbs. Is that the same as balancing?
