Identify this part?

Post by nortstudio »

While messing around doing some simple fixes, and trying to get my bearings with this bike, I noticed that under the passenger seat there is the small "storage" space. In that space, as seen in the photo, is a small piece of foam, with some type of holder. It seems that it may have a purpose, but I can not seem to find anything mounted to it in the parts fiche.

Can anyone tell me what should be here (if anything)?

Thanks

Hi, it is where the original tool bag would have been stowed.

Aha. Well played sir. I definitely do NOT have the original tool bag, but that certainly makes sense.

Thanks!

Clankey is correct....I have the orig. tool bag and I had the strap that holds the bag going over my battery. Dahhhh.....Looks good when the correct part is there. I also still have the small pouch that goes under the pillion seat, I guess you would put your reg. and insurance cards in it.
