anyone ever tried this? That is...removing the left side clip-on, flipping it over and installing on the right side and vice versa....so the angle would then be bent slightly up rather than down.(you'd have to drill new dowel pin holes of course) The idea being raising slightly the riding position towards a more standard style? Would this interfere with the windscreen cage maybe?
Or...anyone ever do the Seca II handle bar / upper clamp swap?

I did it with my naked FZR. It was definitely more upright and easier on my wrists. It actually convinced me to go the full bars & risers route.

Re: Swapping out (reversing) your clip-ons
You actually don't need the dowel pins so long as the clamping screws are properly torqued. I would suggest the dowels are a lawyer-riffic addition to prevent stupid owners from hurting themselves when they do work on the bike and don't torque the bolts properly.
Or, from a spate of stupidity from a few years ago, when bikes came from the factory with loose clipons and weren't properly assembled by the dealership ...

Re: Swapping out (reversing) your clip-ons
yeah, i figured torquing the bolts adequately should suffice. My only concern is on full turn (like maneuvering out of tight spot/backing up) the clip or my hand might hit against the screen cage. I'll just have to try it and see...
Re: Swapping out (reversing) your clip-ons
I was wondering the same with the clips. Have you done it yet? Did it work?
