help me. odd clutch or something

I have a 90 fzr 600. I took off the sprocket cover to replace the chain and noticed I needed a new front sprocket, so I ordered one. So while waiting for the sprocket to get here I cleaned and put the cover and shift lever back on so I could still ride. When I went to ride take-off seems fine until about 3k rpm and there seems like I have very little power to accelerate. The engine is still strong but it fels like the clutch isn't engaged or its laggng. The engine will rev strong but the bike very slowly accelerates. I have no idea why it would do this.

You've probably mis-aligned something in the sprocket cover or bumped the adjuster. Check your work, then carry out the clutch adjustment.
