Avon AV56/ 600,600R

Post by ggradio »

So I just got my Avon AV56 150/70-18. It just looks so wide. But many on here say they use these tires with no rubbing problem. Someone please assure me that this tire will fit a 1997 FZR 600R. banghead I'm going nuts thinking it's gonna be too wide. And why is my bike listed on my insurance as a 600R not just a 600?

Mine 1998 FZR 600 is listed as F6R in my title in NYS...I believe it maybe short for FZR600R.

In the US it's the same bike. There's a confusion that arose in back in 94 when the Fox Eye YZF (FZR600R-in Europe) was released. So what you bought will fit. I ran the same size rear on my old 92 600

I currently have the same exact tire on my 92 daily ride and it fits perfectly no rubbing whatsoever.

The tire fit thank god. That was after waiting three and a half hours for my insurance to tow the bike. Then the tow driver ruined my seat from the way he strapped it down. Ahhh life is good. But the AV56 150/70-18, looks and feels good. Thanks again for all the help.

Hey NG86,

You might want to ponder some chain lube.

And yeah, I have had two av56's in 150/70-18 on my 96 FZR600. Clearance issues? NONE.
