Try adding heat or a little something to lube it up

Yeah, Heat them up with a heat gun, or hair dryer. Spray some lube on your finger and wipe the rim of each tube and push the air box on.

I let it sit out in the sun for a couple hours. Then it slid right on. This stuff does the job. I guess it was all the dirty carbon, because the tailpipe shot out white smoke for 10 minutes. Which is what I saw on you tube. So I guess it worked. I drove about 30 miles after and it def rode differently.

dont feel bad i have a 95 and i went through hell tryn to get mine running right. i still have to sync the carbs. i changed the plugs and put sea foam in it and she runs a lot better. it took me 15 minutes to get it taken apart but 3 hours to get the air box to set back on right. i am thinking about getting individual pod air filters to go on each of the carbs.

I am a ASE certified master technician for automotive and diesel and have been for 12 years. I have used seafoam for just about everything. From cleaning carbs. Injectors. Lifters. And a 1000 other things. I swear by the stuff and urge everyone I know to use it.

Wish it came in grape flavor. I'd probably drink it. Lol

Seafoam will do that if you drown something in it. Not sure about the other.

Okay so I know this thread is a few years old but I have a question concerning seafoam. I'm new to working on bikes And just picked up my first, a '94 fzr 600 the other day for 800 dollars. I was wondering concerning the seafoam, I just pour it right in after I take the air filters off?? Then what? And the engine should be warm; so do I run the bike then shut it off and do that, or just leave it running while I do.

Thanks in advance

With mine I get my bike warm then take the air box off and pour about three cap fulls down each carb throat. Then I pour about half the bottle in the tank with about less than half of a tank of gas. Before my oil change I pour about half a bottle the the crankcase, drive around or ten miles then change my oil.

So I shut it off before I put it in the carbs right. And after that treatment with the carbs and gas I don't need to do anything further it just burns itself out of the bike? I was cautious because there are plastic pieceS on top of the carbs and I thought this stuff was bad for non metal parts of the bike. Thanks for your response by the way j appreciate it, Just trying to figure this thing out bit by bit

Right warm the bike up and take the air box off and pour it down the carbs. Be sure you slide the slides back before pouring it down. It is totally safe.
