Took the bike out yesterday and after an hour I was gritting my teeth with the pain in my lower back. Even the slightest edge on the road surface was being translated straight up my spine.
i noticed as i was going over bigger bumps that there was a ungainly noise as the rear end came off em...
Sitting here in some pain this morning..
Bike was fine previously?? Bit odd..
Still it is unrideable as is..
spoke to a suspension company and they say the oils probably dissapeared so there is zero damping.
Bit dissapointed as I was due to sell it tonight and the guy had specifically asked about the rear shock..
told him it was old but fine.
Oh well cant sell it in good faith like it is..
does anyone know what year R6 shock will go in. I know you need the spacers and shorter dog bones.
I have seen the adverts for the R6 shock with everything you need but they are in the states and I am in the UK.
There are loads of R6 shocks for sale here in the UK from about £40.
Not sure which years are applicable.
Really I want the cheapest thing that will do an adequate job. Not looking for any type of massive improvement.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Does anyone in the UK have a spacer set I could buy from em if I get the shock..
I can grind the shock myself.
