fork spring recomendation
Looking to firm up my front suspension since I blew out a fork seal. are there any good replacement springs that will stiffen up the ride (I am 170lbs) that will fit and not need modification to get the same ride height?

Re: fork spring recomendation
Racetec would be the first recommendation. They have a calculator on their site that is pretty helpful. You could also go the "poor man's" route as well. My old 600 had 30w oil in the forks. At the time I weighed 190lbs. No diving or deflection upon heavy braking. You could also go with, for example, 15 or 20w oil and a longer preload spacer. That will firm up the front end. Stock was 10w oil in there. This is a bit of a subjective question and you'll get many different answers. Do a search and you'll see. Hope that helps.

suggest you read the following BEFORE you do anything else:-

Re: fork spring recomendation
Hi George I did read this as well as the WIKI for the paint thread I started. But I guess there was no good answers there for me or it was incomplete at best. So I am doing my homework as best as possible. what I am looking for a drop in replacement that is ~.80Kg spring that has the same length. I however do understand that the spring length can be offset by where and how you set up the stop inside the fork tube. I however do not know how to adjust this stop.
