I have a 98 fzr600 and was wondering what it would take to fit r1 plastics on it?

It will take you patiently fitting up the plastic to your bike and making small aluminum brackets to support the plastic on your frame. You should be able to do it with hand tools and material from the hardware store. There is no "How To" article, you just have to dive in.
