need to work on my 60', they were all over 2.2 seconds. Had three goals going down there, break 14 seconds since that's what I was expecting with the stats, found myself wanting to break 100 mph at the 1/4, and beat my friends old lt1 vette. Managed all three so a good night. Won't be throwing an extended swinger on it anytime soon seeing as most of my riding is curvers but damn I feel the urge to find ways to shave off some time.

Did you leave the line in 1st or 2nd gear?
Back in the 80's I was taught to launch in 2nd and slip the clutch thru most of it...clutches are cheap...ALL 2nd gears are fragile (No, that's NOT an FZR specific thing)..and it pushes the first gearchange far enough out to get the other guy panicky when he pulls a gear and watches you get some lengths on him.

if you took note as to what gear and rpm you were in when you crossed the line you can pry make adjustments on gearing and pick up some speed

didn't expect any front end lift as it really isn't problem most of the time, it being my first time down a track I didn't realize how it would be. Already working on a front end strap. I was launching in first, most of my runs were solo since the other bikes most of the night were a pair of motards and purpose built 7 second drag bikes. Psyching out the other guy wasn't a concern. Better clutch work will come with time, it's a different skill set than riding in traffic for sure.

I was at redline in either 4th or 5th (sad but I didn't even watch) but most of the time this is a street bike for curves so I don't want to change the gearing. It is already turning 5.5 in 6th at 70, when I run it at 80ish regularly it burns too much oil. The old girl will need rings someday but for now I'm just riding out and keeping an eye on the oil
