I'm doing fork seals and oil this weekend on the 6. The front wheel is coming off to get new rubber and I'm slapping YZF750 6 pots on there while I am at it.
Anyone got good suggestions for a lil extra preload up front(spacer size/length). And maybe Fork oil weight suggestions?
my local dealer carries bel ray unsure of the weights they have though

Re: Front End Work....looking for suggestions
as far as preload, someone else will probably be able to better answer that, i've heard anything from some big washers to pvc pipe. i don't have anything on mine. when i did my fork seals i put a heavier weight oil in. i believe stock is 10w, i can't remember if i put 15 or 20 weight in there. either way, it helped out a lot. of course i got used to the forks the way they were, and the left one had the busted seal so there wasn't a whole lot of oil in there, and lots of sludge
. so i'd say put 15 or 20 weight oil and see how that works out, it probably wouldn't hurt putting a little extra preload on there too. best just to experiment
i think dr rockso used some washers he picked up at home depot or something. maybe he can chime in here.
