hanging front end?
Where is the best place to attach to the bike to hang the front end for suspension work?

Re: hanging front end?
Pretty much anywhere under the frame is just fine to hang the front end. I've picked it up with a strap under the steering neck before and that worked pretty well. Also if you have jack stands put them under the lower frame sections and that should get the bike up plenty high.

Cool thanks, I didn't think about the use of jack stands under the frame sections that seems like it will help a lot.

Re: hanging front end?
When I hung mine, I removed the "ram air" tubes from the frame and put the hooks from my ratchet straps in those holes.
Not sure what they're called, but they have the appearance of "ram air" tubes, just not the function.

+1 to ragedigital for hanging from the air tube holes in the frame. I put the hooks on the hole inside the frame facing the carbs. This allowed me to do frame paint touch up too.

Re: hanging front end?
Hanging & jack stands gives greater stability when working especially if you use a paddock stand on the rear !
I have picture of how I did mine on my site on the suspension related pages .
