Rear wheel

Post by scottfzr »

Hi just a quick question really. Ive got a 1995 Fzr600r and i was having a look at the rear tyre today and noticed its a 160 width and its 17 inch in diameter. After searching through the wiki it seems that Fzr's are suppose to have a 18 inch rear wheel. Has my bike been modified or do the newer bikes have a smaller rear wheel? Thanks in advance.

Since you're in the U.K. and you say your bike is a '95, I'm guessing you have a 4JH Foxeye FZR600. These came with 17" rear wheels. In the U.S., this bike would be called a YZF600. The 3HE 600s did in fact have 18" rears.

If you haven't done so already, please go to the Introductions section to introduce yourself. Put up a pic of the bike if you can.
