Just heat tuned my carbs and I have a question
So thatkid and I split the cost on a nice carb sync tool and yesterday we finally got around to tuning our carbs. He also had an IR heat gun so we did heat tuning as well. We noticed, though, that when we were tuning my bike, my headers were sitting in the 600-650 degree range, and his were sitting in the 180 degree range. Now, I know that my bike has had some type of engine work done, but I don't know what. It just seems like a huge jump in temperatures to me. We both have aftermarket headers (idk if that would matter). I also know I'm not overheating because my radiator fan doesn't even turn on. What are most of you guys running as far as heat when you tune and should I be worried about my high temperatures?
