New guy....few questions about upgrades...

Used the search and didn't find much but I'm sure these ??? have been asked 1,000 times....sorry if they have, but here goes:

Are there any direct swap swingarms that will bolt right up to my 94 FZR600? I'd like to swap the wheels out for newer 2000+ era wheels or something custom but don't know what would bolt right on or where to look as far as custom wheels would go

And last but not least, I'd like to get some nice anodized click and roll levers but haven't found anything for the FZR, would like to just get some for a newer R6 or something, but want to make sure that the cables will fit in the same, anyone know?

I just recently picked up a 94 FZR600 from a guy in town that couldn't figure out why it wouldn't start anymore. Gave him $200 cash for it and after getting it home and persistently trying, it fired right up and runs beautifully! . Also got a brand new 08 R1 full body from a friend that was moving out of town and didn't have the bike anymore so I'm thinking about fitting it to the FZR.....not sure yet as the FZR came with a pretty cool 90's custom race body. We'll see.

Nope. All newer swingarms will require extensive modifications. Plus, the sprockets will not line up, so you may have to do some machining. The most common swingarm swap is from a YZF600, but that will get you to a 160 rear tire.

And last but not least, I'd like to get some nice anodized click and roll levers but haven't found anything for the FZR, would like to just get some for a newer R6 or something, but want to make sure that the cables will fit in the same, anyone know?

You would probably have to get a newer master cylinder and clutch perch assembly if you want those type levers.

YZF swinger works but requires quite a bit of frame work, bolt ins any FZR400 see my web site for the gotcha's with various models 400 swingarms you do not say where you are in your personal profile so I cannot be more specific................

I figured that, but just wondered whether I could still use my old cables or the ends wouldn't fit in to a newer Yamaha model's levers...

You should be able to use your existing clutch cable and brake line. I would spent money on new brake lines if you still have the stockers on there - some stainless steel lines would be a worthy upgrade.

one thing to note with the cable on the levers is the r6 up to 02 levers have a 5mm shorter pull so you will have to make a spacer i have upgraded for the same reason i want the adjustable levers so i swapped both master cylinder and clutch lever assemblys all works except the cable lenght made a spacer and now its great if you need a pic just let me know, but there are loads of yaws of taking out the slack.
