92 FZR Transmission Compatibilty

Post by Dynastar12 »

First of all...Thanks for this forum. The knowledge gathered here has been incredibly useful!

I have a 92 FZR 600 that pops out of gear at higher RPM in various gears. I am guessing I have bent shift forks and maybe rounded off gears. My question is will a '90 trans or just gears, forks, and/or drum be compatible with my '92? What other years could be used?

The short answer is yes. The engine was pretty much the same from 90 to 98. From you describe it doesn't sound transmission is the problem but more like the clutch is need of replacement

The forks and drum may need to be replaced as well. Pretty common on FZRs...
