fork seal suggestions?
hi all i have a 1993 fzr 600 and need to do some bodywork and mods but most importantly i need to replace my front fork seals and was wondering if anybody had some suggestions about which seals to get?
Re: fork seal suggestions?
I fitted a set of K&L's last fall without issue. They make a seal and wiper all-in-one kit if that is of any interest to ya. Follow the instructions in the wiki it's couple hour job.
Re: fork seal suggestions?
I am about to do this job too.
I found a this site (http://www.powersedge.com/pages/parts/v ... fault.aspx) where you can find the exact OEM part numbers, and order them. An old racing buddy of mine is recommending replacing the dust seal, metal slide and lower gasket. But is also saying I should find another bushing at the bottom of the inner tube. As he puts it "this one and the metal one on the top are only replaced by anal people like me and your dad."
Anyone know how to locate that one? I looked on K&L, but they only have the "all in one" part... I have never trusted "all-in-ones..."

All Original, except for a custom saddlebag set up. A machine shop buddy of mine seamlessly fitted two GS bags on the rear end for last summers ride.
