Barnett clutch kit...worth it?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/89-99-Ya ... enameZWDVW
I've seen these a few times on ebay, and wondered if anyone's got this kit, or can tell me if its worth it. after ripping into my engine i've looked at my clutch and it seems to be ok. i've going to have to replace one of the bolts that hold the springs onto the pressure plates because its been ground smooth (probably caused the transmission headache to begin with) but i wasn't sure if these clutch kits were worth it.
i'm planning on buying the shift kit from factory pro, along with whatever transmission pieces are broken, but i didn't know if the clutch would be worth it. thanks!

not sure i understand this quite right. are you saying it tends to roll forward a little bit while you have the lever pulled in? well, thanks for the input guys, if i can afford it i think i'll go for it. so far i am going to get the factory pro shift kit, i need a transmission (4 of my gears have chipped teeth), and looks like i need a PRIMARY DRIVEN GEAR COMP. or clutch basket, or whatever ya wanna call it, cuz mine has a big crack in one of the "arms".
costly repairs, and i haven't even gotten to replacement plastics, of which i need an upper and left and right sides. unless i can find an "ear" for the upper and attempt a plastex repair.

The barnet springs area lot "harder" to pull the usual trick is to use 2 originals + 3 barnet springs .
The clutch grips better and will NOT walk (providing you set the clutch up right.)
Re the basket you can replace or like I have done at the track weld the pieces together and hand file the result till it is smooth and NOT prone to out of balance movement. ( put the finished basket on a shaft and spin if the weld always ends at the bottom it is out of balance )
Chipped teeth replace the cog
Re: Barnett clutch kit...worth it?
I've got one in my 600 and have no issues with it walking forward :
.IMO It's worth doing if your clutch plates need replacing there's no issues with clutch slip afterwards.
One other thing is the springs are a hell of alot stiffer so you going to get a massive left forearm from using the clutch.
