Nothing against my American cousins (I'm hugely pro-yank! ), but some Brit back up is what I need here.
Does anyone know of anyone in the central england area that would undertake a full fizzer carb strip and rebuild, or any specialist will to do such work and receive/return the carbs by post? I've scoured the ads in Classic Bike and no one springs to mind.
What Duane said - It's a piece of cake. Just take some pics of the disassembly if you need to. Make sure to put the starter and main jets back in the proper location. Other than the bore they're the same size so this would be easy to mix up. And, you don't need to take the whole bank apart. That's when things can get a little tricky.
Here's a link to a post I made a while back that might help (about 9 posts down):

Blighty MUST be a Brit thing! LOL! Factory Pro does in fact still sell them (as well as the needles) and I know you can still get the DynoJet stuff as well.

Scorchio.
There is a tuner just outside Bedford (name escapes me Roger Scott ?????) but he will also require the bike if you wish it tuned not just a carb re-build.
