Something to consider? :whistle
KC,
everyone of us characters is looking for an edge, and I know from past experience that the oddest idea starts out and develops into just that edge or part of it. BUT it ain't gonna get there unless it gets kicked around in a lot of grey stuff first.

All my race bikes & street bikes have oversized axles and fat brake systems, parallelogram rear brakes and odd tweeks to the engine and NONE of those on first sight made a heap of sense until twisted around & thought about passed on to guys who had tools to explain (like that simulation program ) and then the light bulb came on and they got built.

I can tell for sure that everyone of them was expensive first off because you are going with faith / gut but the pay off was winning & grinning at what had been achieved.

Over thinking cannot be over done EVER

neat idea, i was thinking about removing the schorkel all together and making a bracket up just to hold the filter in place and then tuning to suit

Dr Rockso wrote:i toyed with an idea like this when i first got my fzr , but it's in such good shape that i don't want to mess with it . i'm still waiting for someone to make the ram air tubes functional , wouldn't be too hard.
they already are.

they are not ram air tubes for the engines needs, but to cool the frame keeping it cooler keeps the air intake and engine etc cooler as they all touch each other etc.

yamaha claims that while you wont notice on teh dyno etc that it did lower power loss out on the racetrack when running hot laps

not too worried about the rain... I made a 1/4" thick black foam plug that fits in the opening :) I just keep it under the seat.

How did you attach the mesh to the tank cover?
Yes, that is a Single Sided Swingarm FZR600 that I built.

Something is lurking, waiting, wanting to be built......It calls to me from the darkness....

I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel....Then I realize that it is the train coming to run my ass over....
