Aside from the actual oil cooler and stud that holds it onto the bike, you'll need the yzf's coolant piping section that's over the stator cover, unless you put a T fitting somewhere inline with the rest of your system, the hose from the oil cooler to connect directly to this. I didn't try to put my FZR header back on after the oil cooler was in place, but it looked like it wouldn't fit, so I'm almost positive you'll need the header unless you can somehow find a short oil filter, and it would be a good idea to try to find the lower radiator bracket, it's two pieces, one small piece about 3 inches wide by 2 inches high, it bolts in above the oil cooler and the second bracket bolts to this and the radiator. The FZR oil filter base has to be removed completely to put the bracket on though. If I can find pictures of this stuff I'll post them up for you.

omg, I remember you from youtube! My username is jammingbrad. I asked you a question about why you thought my bike was off center! I have been on a different fzr website the last few months and figured I would join this one too. Haha, that's too weird!

oh yeah, hey man, did you ever get a new axle? Was it your axle? I couldn't tell that much from the video but it looked like it was tweaked from hitting something.

oh, sorry man, I used parts from an 04, but all parts will work from 97 - 07, just don't use 95/96 YZF600 parts, it's like a cross between the FZR and YZF.

1, 2, 3, 4, and 8 (I think that says number 8, it's the coolant tube on the left side of the bike). And if you look at this link, you would need numbers 20 and 21 to mount the radiator unless you want to make your own bracket. I already had the parts so I used them, #20 bolts into the engine case just above the oil filter, there are two long bolts on the left and right just above the filter and there is a round aluminum base that is on the FZR case behind the filter that needs to be removed so the bolts will slide straight down(put it back though, it should be underneath the YZF cooler), otherwise the bolts hit the base and won't slip out all the way. Since the YZF600 cooling system has small coolant passages in the carbs, there is a nipple that shoots off of #8 (coolant tube on the left of the bike) and it connects to the radiator just under the cap. I'm just putting a long coolant hose to connect the two.

Aside from radiator hoses and the YZF600 header, this is all I can think you will need. The YZF600 header needs to be bent a little bit and the bracket that is welded to it needs to be ground off. If it isn't bent, it can still be forced on the FZR, but the exhaust pipe touches the right foot peg, and I can imagine that it would get hot after a while. I haven't bent mine yet, I plan on either cutting it off after the 4-2-1 merges into 1 and welding on exhaust piping, or taking a long plumbing pipe for leverage and bending the header away from the foot peg. I haven't connected the other piping after the header yet. That's one of the things that I have left to do.

What are you doing about the radiator cap underneath the gas tank cover? Are you leaving that assembly there and only using the radiator cap that's actually on the radiator?

:udaman Thank so much for the great instruction, this should be used for a how-to ClapHands . I removed the filler neck already and left the thermo housing then straight out to the radiator.
