Does it sound like a VR?

Riding down the highway, she just didnt have any power. got off at my exit and hit the turn signal. headlight flashed off then back on. Rpm's are wrong, turn signals, brake light and neutral light dont work. any help is appreciated. 94 with 11k.

could be vr or stator or bad connection you have to trace the wires back and check the voltages to find the problem.
ones life is the way it is only because you allow it make it happen.

For the cost of the updated VR and the effort to install it I can't see why anyone with a pre '95 VR would not do the upgrade. If for nothing else than peace of mind. There are countless threads here and on the Archives of VR failures and all the potential additional damage that is associated with thier failures.

What does your VR look like, not that you can necessarily tell if its bad by visually looking at it but most physically self destruct/ burn/melt etc on thier way to expiring. May be you can catch it before it goes if that is in fact what the issue is. What is your battery's condition? A VR on the way out can over charge your battery and run it drier than what it should be as well.

I bought the bike about a month ago. Prev owner had it sitting the better part of a year or 2. Just bought battery a month or so ago. I haven't looked at the battery since.
