Hi !
I read this thred completely through. I found out that this is quite complete and detailed answer to my problem e.g. adjustment of float levels. Tomorrow I shall take the carbs off the bike and adjust float levels accoding to your advise. After that I check the mixture-/pilot screws and hope the bike doesn´t jerk at lower revolutions any more.

I just managed to catch your post. I've done quite a bit of posting regarding setting float height (mainly over at the Archives). Here is a thread I think you should read through as it gives some pretty detailed info as to how I do it. Seems to work for me!:
