Idling issue
I was wondering if anyone nows why my bike will not sit and idle unless I hold the throttle a little,I have adjusted the idle screw in and out but it seems to ak like its flutuating. Is this a carb issue or is it another issue besides the carbs? I put some seafoam in the tank to see if this helped, it did a little but still acts up. The bike was sitting for a couple of years.
Re: Idling issue
You need to hand clean the carbs. Seafoam can/will only do so much.
A good cleaning, then synching the carbs will do wonders for the idle (and running ocndition in general)

Also, use a IR Temp Gun and make sure the header temps are close at idle. This will really smooth out the bike in the "idle" range. You adjust the IMS (Idle Mixture Screws) to richen or lean out each carb to match the others.
This will also tell you if a cylinder is firing or not.
