Guys ,
Just be glad it is not in the West Indies, a riding buddy was hammering up the hiway with an open face helmet and no goggles (anyone say squid) when through his watery eyes he thought he saw the electrical loom on the left side move, a couple of seconds later same thing , wipes his eyes to see it move again only to notice the "loom" has strange markings on it. Then he sees it move big time but now on the right side where on this bike there is NO loom.
pulls over to the hard shoulder takes a good look and jumps back . THE LOOM was in fact a diamond back snake which is seriously poisonous . A police car pulls up behind him and he explains to the officer why he is parked there, the officer needless to say says bullshit, so they both go to the bike at which point said snake is leaving but the cop fails to see it and gets his size 11's bitten and ends up shooting the snake.

Since then my riding pal does not park his bike under the shade tree !
