Anyone? Anyone? Nobody can help me?
I was wondering if the digital ignitor and coils frequently go bad or if I should not worry about them when replacing my wires. I know I had a bad vr on there for a while, and am concerned maybe it fried one or both. oh its a 1990 600

Re: ignition system questions
The TCI and coils *can* go bad. Check your coils with an ohmmeter against the values in the manual. As for the ignitor, ther ereally is no bench check. Does the bike run? Does the tach work? Ignitor's ok.

Re: ignition system questions (updated question)
So here's the deal. I think my ignition wires may be bad si I went out and bought some new wire and boots. Pulled the coils out and tried to get the wires out of the coils and snapped one wire off in each coil. I know generally the wires aren't changable but I already got new wires so I would like to know, when I get my new, used coils is there any good way to get the old wires out without snapping them off?
