Thanks for the pep talk. I did learn a ton cause thats the first time I've ever really messed with the cams on any vehicle. The only reason I was way pissed yesterday is cause I am SO busy with other things its really hard to find time to work on my bike, so I was mad that I didn't really acomplish anything benificial on it. The important thing is you have learned the timing mark is bloody naff as far as marking is concerned (welcome to Yamaha ) and two you told the rest of us that the timing mark is the front one

So now to my next question, Anybody know what other bikes have valve cover gaskets which are compatible with a 1990 600? I can't find any on ebay that list the fzr 600 but there are a couple which look similar. Thanks
