Caliper upgrade?? which?

Post by reelrazor »

Is there a list that I am missing on which calipers are a direct bolt-on for my late model('96-four pot caliper) FZR?

can anyone provide one (R6? which years?)?

Any R6/R1 pre radial mount. The gold spot calipers were better as the pistons were a composite material that dispersed heat better keeping brake fade to a minimum.

I hear that the master cylinder is what is the biggest part of the upgrade with the R6 calipers. Of course, they help too.

16x18mm Radial Master Cylinder along with r6/r1/fz1/yzf (blue/gold/silver spots) calipers will be the best upgrade you can do for the fzr. I've also heard the YZF750/FZR1000 6 pot calipers will fit as well but you would need a 19x18mm radial master to take proper advantage.
