Jet Kits.

Post by cad600 »

Well, as I approach the end of the fabrication part of my build I'm starting to think about making it run. Since I switched to the YZF tank and don't feel like messing with the air box, I'm going to switch to pods. This means that I'm also going to drop in a Factory Pro stage 3 jet kit and probably to new emulsion tubes as well. With the V&H PowerPak, it should run like hell. My question is, does the jet kit come with all the gaskets to rebuild the carbs or do I need to buy those as well? Just wondering if I get to save $70 on the rebuild gaskets and don't feel like having to wait on parts to arrive because I didn't order everything at one crack.
Thanks,

Rob

Gaskets are pricey. I suggest letting them sit in some Armor All for a bit unless they've cracked or broke.

If you're going pods, I would highly suggest a Flo-Commander. I don't have one, but the concept is spot on and the reviews have been excellent. If I went pods again, I would definitely put one on.

I need to tare into my carbs to see if I need new gaskets. Ordered the Pods, Jet kit, and Emulsion tubes yesterday.

Anyone have the flo cammandor? I've looked on the website, but I would rather talk to someone who has it already. Factory Pro doesn't not recomend or recomend it so I'm torn about getting it. I was planning on having an engine tunner do it since my engine experiance is zero. But he would be dyno tunning and can custom make the jets if the kit didn't have the correct ones.

Ordered the gaskets from georgefix yesterday as well. Decided what the hell. Got the e-meil that they would be shipped today.

Ordered the items from Factory Pro Wednesday. Upgraded to three day shipping since I expected them to take a few days to process it and everything. To my suprise, the items were sitting at my garage door when I got home from work today. Can't say enough about the company. Easy to deal with.
