REAR SHOCK

Post by payne3400 »

Hi guys,

The rear shock on my 91' FZR600 has well and truly exploded! I am strugling to find one in good condition. I have been offered a rear shock from an 87' FZR1000 (2RG) which i know is in real good condition.

Does anybody know if this shock will fit my bike or do I need to continue my quest for for an original?????????

Why do you need an original? 2006 R6 Shock (has a red spring) will almost bolt right in. You'll just need to shim the top mount with spacers or a couple washers on both sides. If the shock you are being offered is anything like what is on my bike then it'll probably just be too big.

I tihnk the 1k's are just too big.

though that one might work, the genny shocks are smaller than 1k exup units and they dont really swap at all
