You definitely need something, or the tech guy won't sticker your ride. Your organisation will likely list a specified minimum size in the rulebook. A lot of people use the wildest things for catch bottles - water bottles, baby bottles, salad dressing bottles. (no, really! It still had the label - Kraft Low Fat Catalina!)

The funniest was a red anodised aluminum sports bottle - the RS250 rider in the pits next to me one day had a souvenier from some climbing place. I just about fell over laughing when some spectator, wandering through the pits, stopped in awe, his jaw agape - "You guys run NITROUS in those things?!"

We have to run two water catch bottles.the first operates like stock feed into bottom and sucks back into radiator like road bike. The second is an overflow off the first bottle.I have both of mine under the rev counter a the front of my bike.they are cable tied onto the front fairing subframe where the headlights would be on a road bike.

Yes, that is a Single Sided Swingarm FZR600 that I built.

The bike was Jake Zemski's (sp) factory CBR1000RR from last year. I actually have no desire to own a 1k bike. I do want the pit crew to come work on mine though.

Thats a we bit more bling than mine.i have a gsxr250 reserve bottle up front then a catch bottle from its overflow. The reserve bottle gets condensation only, perhaps a tspoon per meeting or less .The catch bottle is to the left of the reserve bottle and a bit hard to see in photo.

Ok, thanks for the help guys. I'll set something up in the front fairing as there is plenty of room to fit a bottle of some kind in.
