What Do You Torque The Sprocket Nut To?

Ft/lbs anyone. I heard 52 and 60, whats the exact measure? And would it be a bad idea to put some lock tight on there?

50 ft/lbs... that's from my Yamaha YZF600 manual. Probably the same as the FZR.

Lock tite is never a bad idea, just don't put the permanent stuff on there. Make sure you use a new lock washer and bend the tabs up.

drive train rear sprocket 23ft-lbs
drive train front sprocket 43 ft-lbs
BLUE locktite

These are out of the Haynes manual

I still say that not enough. I have heard many stories of and experienced the "walking front sprocket". A good example is my old bike felt like it had a warped bearing and it lurched at slow speed. This turned out to be a loosed front sprocket that i was able to remove by hand-because the nut had actually backed off almost half way. Luckily, the washer did it's job but barely. 100lbs man!!! 100lbs..loctite. Safety wire!!! Ok..i'm done

Yes BLUE loctite not RED or it will be a bastard to get back off
