Thanks for the help guys. It looks like the battery was the main cause for everything. I have a battery tender, but I hooked up Mark's battery charger and really gave it some juice. I was able to get the motor running even with all of the wacky items that are on it. It even cranked up on it's own 5 minutes later (no charger).

Shred - I understand why you did it, but jumping off of a car is not a good thing to do lots of times. The electrical systems of these bikes are fragile and jumping like that can cause some damage to things. It is not common, but it can happen. Better off push starting it.

Again, thanks guys.

I fail to see the difference between a 12v battery sitting on the ground and a 12v battery installed in a Mack truck. 12v is 12v (boosting veh off), 14.4v is 14.4v (running - assuming the truck's VR isn't making like a FZR's VR... :-D )

Glad the darn thing started!

Again, 12v = 12v. A = V/R; the resistance of the bike's starter hasn't changed, and the truck's regulator is putting out 14.4v. How do the amps increase?

Problem isnt the jumping, its the charging rate of the car's alternator into the bike battery. Ideally, you never want to charge at more than 1/10th the amp/hr rating of the battery.
