Ah man....My fiz wont start!

Post by slayermd »

I know, I know. There are a few other threads of other peoples bikes not starting. Anyways, here is what I know and I will point out that the bike was running a month ago and has done nothing but sit in a garage.

-Ignition coils is good (Dyna)
-Plugs are good
-Stator is good
-Carbs are good
-Everything is plugged in ok
-VR good
-Battery is new
-Turns over like a monkey on banana roids

Everything has worked not too long ago. Im thinking the cold weather has something to do with it not starting. Any ideas?

No, no and no. Gas is 3 weeks old and there is gas getting to the carbs.

It seems to me that everything is in good working order, but it just wont start for some reason.

what happens when you hit the start button?
does it make any noise?
if it doesnt, then make sure your fuses are good....all five of them.

well its harder to start in cold weather so my guess is just that you flooded it and the plugs are too wet to fire.

Thats what I thought too but I pulled each plug and tested them and each had a fat blue spark.

When I press the start button, it turns over pretty damn well.

Im going to replace the plugs and see what happens. And maybe it can warm up a bit too.

I suggest you also try cutting the fuel supply off annd holding open the throttle while you crank to air out the combustion chamber. I find even holding open the throttle for a few minutes without cranking helps me on cold starts.
