Hey, since I don't have my service manual with me I just wanted to make sure I've got this right. Drain the oil from drain plug, replace filter, put new oil in.
Also, I remember I had a hard time finding the drain plug, so if someone could show me where it is, that'd be great!

Re: Oil change
Thats about it. The drain plug is on the kick stand side of the bike way down low. It's big big bolt (like 13 or 17 mm socket) so you can't miss it. Put some paper towels of shop rags between the filter and header as some oil will come out there when you take it off. But do the drain plug first to minimise it. You will need to remove the left side fairing as well I think. Just make sure you put the drain plug back in before you fill it up and that you have the correct filter first.
Yes, that is a Single Sided Swingarm FZR600 that I built.

17 mm bolt. Remove the fairing and fairing bracket on the left side by the kick stand. Get a piece of aluminum foil and place across the header pipe to drain into a tub. Thats it!
Re: Oil change
Ok, I got it done and put a full 3 qts opposed to the 2.8 recommended, and now I'm having trouble starting her. Do you think that little bit of oil would keep the engine from starting?

Re: Oil change
Check your eye glass and see if you have to much oil in it. It should be 3/4 full. Should be a line on the side of the glass.
Re: Oil change
And no. this wouldn't be a problem from starting troubles. 200ml more are not problem to that, but it may be a problem with the pressure into the crankcase. If your crankcase has good ventillation (if the ventillation tube it's not plugged) it's ok. And you'll be known of that problem when engine will be in high revs for a part of time. What 95FZR600 tlod you above for the line mark it's the best rule.ian wrote:Ok, I got it done and put a full 3 qts opposed to the 2.8 recommended, and now I'm having trouble starting her. THE COST OF YOUR HELMET, IT DEPENTS ON HOW MUCH EXPENSIVE YOU THINK YOUR HEAD IS.
