Putting Speakers on FZR 600 (added Video)

Post by shredex »

I had an old 5"x7" speaker and an old computer speaker with amp and jack port, so I dicided to put it all on my bike.
I installed the speaker using 2 bolts to connect it to the tail under the rear fairing in that big gap in the back.
here is how I did the connections.

heres the video link

any questions, please feel free to ask.

I want to do something similar on my Intruder so I can hook up an Ipod.

Does it work well? I would like to see pics of the amp. I have plenty of room on the cruiser to mount it.

No way I could hear that over my V&H and pods. Why not just plug earphones in?

Ain't nothing wrong with that. I own one myself, get 30+mpg city. It also helps I work at Saturn too lol.

its really not hard. all the wires that come on the computer speaker are what you use. I just cut 2 wires and wired one (wire to left speaker) to a 5"x7" speaker and the other (12v dc power plug) to the battery. thats it!
you want it to have an on and off switch though, you dont want it to drain your battery. Im going to figure out how to hook it up to my ignition so it only comes on when I turn on the bike.
